本研究調查是採每所學校調查三次，每次採地毯式全面搜尋調查。經調查結果得知屏東市國民小學校園內草本植物共62科191屬237種，其中雙子葉植物157種（野生102種；栽種55種），單子葉植物80種（野生36種；栽種44種）。校園草本植物的種數約58%是野生，42%是栽種的；野生的草本植物中，沒有特有種，都是原生種與歸化種，且歸化種所佔的比率相當高，此顯示特有種很難在屏東市校園內發現，而歸化種因容易適應受干擾的校園環境而佔有很大的優勢；栽種的種類大都是外來種，只有6種是原生種，此顯示原生種被利用來人工種植美化校園的不多。各校野生的種類以崇蘭國小種數最多；栽種的種類則以屏東教育大學附小種數最多。屏東市國民小學校園野生最常見的雙子葉草本植物為：一枝香、飛揚草、酢醬草、繖花龍吐珠、大花咸豐草、小花蔓澤蘭、伏生大戟、兔兒菜、野莧、紫背草、黃鵪菜、小葉冷水麻、平伏莖白花菜、野牽牛、葉下珠、霧水葛、印度鐵莧、野甘草、龍葵、蠅翼草；單子葉草本植物則為：小馬唐、牛筋草、地毯草、孟仁草、香附子、短穎馬唐、四生臂形草、兩耳草、狗牙根、鯽魚草、鼠尾栗、單穗水蜈蚣、龍爪茅。

It was investigated three time for every campuse by precise investigation. The results of this investigation indicated that there are 237 species in 190 genera and 62 families distributing in the campuses of elementary schools of Pingtung city. 157 species was dicotyledonous plant, and of which 102 species are wild and 55 species cultivated, on the other hand, there was 80 species are monocotyledonous plants, 36 species wild and 44 species cultivated. About 58% is wild, but 42% is cultivated in total. There are no endemic species in wild, but native and naturalized species , it reveals that the endemic species is difficult to found in the campuse of pingtung city, but naturalized species dominant in the campuses for its fit disturbed environments very well; most cultivated plants are introduced species, only 6 species are native, it showed that native species is seldom used for beautifing campuses. The number of wild species in campus of Chorng Lan elementary school is more than other schools, and the number of cultivated species is affiliated experimental elementary school of National Pingtung University of Education. The most common dicotyledon herbaceous species in wild were Vernonia cinerea, Chamaesyce hirta, Oxalis corniculata, Hedyotis corymbosa, Bidens pilosa var. radiata, Mikania micrantha, Chamaesyce prostrate, Ixeris chinensis, Amaranthus viridis, Emilia sonchifolia var. javanica, Youngia japonica subsp. japonica, Pilea microphylla, Cleome rutidosperma, Ipomoea obscura, Phyllanthus urinaria, Pouzolzia zeylanica, Acalypha indica, Scoparia dulcis, Solanum nigrum and Desmodium triflorum. The most common monocotyledon herbaceous species in wild were Digitaria radicosa var. reticosa, Eleusine indica, Axonopus compressus, Chloris barbata, Cyperus rotundus, Digitaria setigera, Brachiaria subquadripara, Paspalum conjugatum, Cynodon dactylon, Eragrostis amabilis, Sporobolus indicus var. major, Kyllinga memoralis and Dactyloctenium aegyptium.
