研究平衡機制多利用量化控制重心的參數,目前利用壓力中心已蔚為主流,但以其解釋平衡機制時,有矛盾及不具代表性的情形。傳統上認為必須使重心投射在支撐底面積內,才能維持姿勢的平穩,然而單只此一條件成立,並無法確保維持姿勢的平衡。學者研究坐到站發現,重心動量與平衡控制極度相關,且於不同受試者及試驗間,關節角度與關節速度以不同組合以維持水平動量一致。此外,過度依賴動量造成無法減輕各肢段所引發的不必要的動量,是平衡缺失重要因素之一。由動量研究平衡機制日漸重要,然其理論基礎尚待澄清,為其應用上的限制。期待未來深入了解各參數應用上的限制,發展出有效解釋平衡機制的參數。
