愈來愈多的研究顯示:與心血管及肌肉功能相關的基因對運動表現有一定程度影響。其中研究較多的有:血管張力素轉化酶(angiotensin converting enzyme, ACE)基因及α-輔肌動蛋白3(α-Actinin 3; ACTN3)基因。不同形態的運動選手,其基因特性也不同。肌力型運動員其血管張力素轉化酶基因多呈刪除型,而α-輔肌動蛋白3基因多呈野生型(wild type,指未經突變之型式)。耐力型運動員其血管張力素轉化酶基因多呈嵌入型,而α-輔肌動蛋白基因多呈突變型(null type)。本文綜合了多篇探討血管張力素轉化酶基因或α-輔肌動蛋白基因與運動表現的文獻,以回溯方式整理,期望能提供讀者一些有用的資訊。
