摘 要 國內應用英語忽略研究學生學習英語溝通技巧及學術英語認知之課程內容設 計,仍須投注於分析學生英語溝通技巧及學術英語認知歷程,據以設計更多具理論基 礎之應用英語適性課程。英語溝通技巧教學活動的實施需要在活動設計上考量師生職 能及相關訓練的規劃做更進一步組織研究。國外英語溝通技巧文獻已述及語文與文化 結合,故國內應增納語文與文化結合於應用英語領域。觀國內參考文獻在應用英語缺 乏英語溝通技巧及學術英語認知語之訓練,英文教師在英語教學中應增添英語溝通技 巧的認知與訓練。經由以上研究背景說明與相關文獻檢閱後,本研究欲引用BICS 及 CALP 建構應用英語之英語溝通技巧理論基礎及整合學術英語認知歷程。 本計畫欲確立 出應用英語的論證基礎,提供設計英語教學課程時有厚實的理論基礎參考。本研究計 畫探索應用多元化英語論證基礎,引發學生更高的學習動機而體現應用英語學生應用 學術英語之成就。
Abstract Basic Interpersonal Communicative Skills (BICS) refers to Second Language (L2) proficiency that learners require while engage in face-to-face interaction, which involves the context-embedded uses of language in communicative tasks that are cognitively undemanding (Ellis, 1999, p. 694). BICS are required for oral fluency and sociolinguistic appropriate skills. As a consequence, the student develops a natural exposure to language through communication. Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP) refers to L2 proficiency required to engage in academic study, which is the ability to communicate
