本文研究目的是探討在知識與技能密集的醫療專業領域內,醫師受到實證醫學典範影響所產生的知識需求與資訊尋求,並對於醫師知識分享的發生場域、醫療知識需求的滿足、衝擊、或效益進行理解。本研究利用開放式訪談蒐集醫師對專業知識分享的實務作法與意見,分析結果發現:醫師間的知識分享是其滿足醫療資訊需求的重要途徑,並可分為正式與非正式兩種分享管道。正式管道是由院方或所屬科部策劃出特定時間、地點、明確的醫療活動,包括晨會、會診、轉診、專科學會的繼續教育訓練、院內學術合作計畫、以及檢索醫學圖書資訊等方式。非正式管道則是不拘任何形式或任務目的的活動方式,包括師徒學習、醫師休息室、電話溝通與電子郵件等方式,可以增加對隱性知識的吸收與人際溝通的效率。本研究最後針對知識分享管道、醫療數位資源服務、醫療專業網站的內容與功能、以及電子病歷的使用問題等面向提出建議,希望藉以提升醫療專業知識的需求滿足與資訊使用的最佳效益。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the physicians’ knowledge need and information seeking behavior with the paradigm of empirical-based medicine. This study was conducted by in-depth interview and the results indicate that knowledge sharing between the physicians is an important activity of their information seeking behavior. Our study summarizes two types of knowledge sharing approaches – formal and informal. The formal approach includes morning meeting, consultation, referral, professional association, academic research project, and library/information retrieval. The informal approach embraces learning between master and apprentice, interpersonal interaction in the lounge, and communication by telephone or e-mail. Both approaches demonstrate the diversity and effectiveness of knowledge sharing activities to fulfill the physicians’ knowledge need in the health industry. Finally, our study provides some suggestions regarding the multiple knowledge sharing channels, personalized service of medical e-resources, contents and functions of medical web-sites, and usage of electronic patients records.
