This paper discusses an inventory problem with a single perishable commodity and a nonperishable one. We deal with a one period horizon model where the decision maker orders not only perishable commodity whose lifetime is one period but also the nonperishable one when a nonperishable one is in stock. The goal of this paper is to derive an optimal ordering policy maximizing the expected profit function. Using the Kuhn-Tucker conditions, we obtain optimal ordering quantities.
