傳統上對於國家安全的威脅，往往著重在主權國家所面臨的外來軍事入侵或軍事打擊。隨著安全概念的擴大，恐怖活動、大規模毀滅性武器的擴散、違反人權、毒品走私、破壞環境等都被視爲對和平與安全的威脅。本論文擬就軍事力在安全概念的擴大下地位之轉變予以探討。

To the threat of the national security, people often focus on the military invasion or military attack that the sovereign state faces. With the variation of the conception of security, terrorism, the expansion of weapons of mass destruction, infringement human rights, drug smuggling, and environmental disruption, etc. all these are treated as the threat to peace and security. According to the variation of the conception of security ,this article will probe into the status of the military capability .
