呼吸肌在人體氧氣的獲得上扮演著相當重要的角色,而如何藉由呼吸肌的訓練來提昇運動表現,一直都是教練或運科人員所關心的課題。呼吸肌如同骨骼肌一樣,可經由運動訓練來增強肌肉的強韌度,並進而減緩疲勞的產生。經文獻的蒐集與整理分析顯示,呼吸肌訓練在運動表現上有其功效,特別在吸氣肌部分效果明顯提升,對於心跳率、血乳酸的降低等生理指標有其助益。因此本文將以呼吸肌的結構、功能與運動表現間的相關性,來加以敘述,期待以呼吸肌訓練法,來提供教練、選手、體育教師與運科研究人員在訓練與研究上的參考。
