ABSTRACT Firefighter health and safety should be a basic consideration in all fire service operations and activities. Increased efforts in the area of health and safety can reduce line-of-duty death and injury, reduce long-term disability, and improve firefighter morale and quality of life. The purpose of this study is for collecting domestic and overseas fire service strategies on preventing and controlling firefighter line-of-duty death and injury. By firefighter’s questionnaire survey and review the significant disaster event to find the post-incident illness and injuries type, the cause and its influence. It will provide fire fighter directions to information and resources that will further their knowledge of safety-related issues. Proposed promotes the first line disaster relief personnel independent healthy behavior and the safe protective measures.
