The purpose of this study was to explore the tendency of the viewing motivations and communication behavior of tennis participator and the identification degree for the professional tennis players. A total of 181 questionnaires were sent out and 160 effective questionnaires were returned. Two-way ANOVA, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the collected data. The findings of this study were as the follows: 1. There was no interaction of identification degree between career and sex of subjects. (P>.05). 2. There were differences of identification degree between age and marriage of subjects. (P<.05). 3. The viewing motivations of "entertainment and interpersonal utility" and "fulfill one's leisure time" and "encouragement and curious" have significant positive correlation with the identification degree for the professional tennis players. 4. The interpersonal communication behavior has significant positive correlation with the identification degree for the professional tennis players. 5. "The identification degree" can be predicted by the viewing motivations of "fulfill one's leisure time" and "encouragement and curious" and "entertainment and interpersonal utility", the interpersonal communication behavior, the mass communication behavior.
