The student group library tour or library orientation, which is called the “class visiting” in the public libraries in Taiwan, is one of the ever going services in the public libraries. However, in Taiwan, there seems to be a lot of room for more improvements in terms of the range of targeting library users, and the quality of the services. Hence, the author articulates and compares the current status of the programs of student group orientation services both domestically and internationally; next, discuss the core values of the student group orientation services; lastly, proposes some suggestions from the aspects of the program design and the execution of the student group orientation.
