摘 要 本文利用Bulow (1982)的耐久財模型，討論市場中禁止及允許平行 輸入行為下的市場均衡以及其對國外製造商利潤、本國代理商利潤、消 費者福利與社會福利的影響。本文發現，允許平行輸入，必定有助於提 升消費者與社會福利，但代理商的利潤必然會由於市場競爭較為激烈而 下降；然而，對於耐久財製造商而言，通路增加不一定能夠使其利潤上 升，必須視本國市場規模與製造商的生產成本而定，此一觀點明顯不同 於Bolton and Bonanno (1988)的結論。
Abstract Durable-goods model constructed in Bulow (1982) is exploited in this research to compare the equilibria while parallel imports are prohibited or not. The impact of parallel imports on the profits of foreign producer and home importers, and that on domestic consumer welfare and social welfare are as well essential issues that we probe into in this study. We suggest that the existence of parallel imports will enhance both consumer and social welfare of the importing country. The profit of the home franchisee, however, will definitely shrink for fierce import competition. Nevertheless, the increase of distribution channels doesn’t necessarily guarantee the foreign producer’s profit, which mainly depends on the size of home market and the costs of the producer. This finding apparently differs from that in Bolton and Bonanno (1988).
