Spinal cord injury patients need a complete nursing instruction on bladder training to avoid urinary tract infection, and to enhance their quality of life. A patient's perception can show the completeness of nursing instruction. The objective of this project was to improve nursing instruction completeness. The factors were lack of staff education, inconsistency in doctor's principle of bladder training, insufficiency of complete nursing instruction manual, unfixed and untimely supply of education sheets, and lack of clacity about shift responsibility for bladder training instruction. Solutions were holding lectures, integrating specialist principles and education sheets about bladder training, making an educational manual and setting up the nursing principles. After implementation, the completeness increased from 53.33% to 89.49%, and nurse's perception about bladder training also improved from 52.5% to 90.5%. This project was really worth promoting.
