隨著青少年肥胖盛行率增加及社會文化媒體上呈現的理想身型，許多青少年採取體重控制行為。本研究係探討青少年肥胖、體型認知與體重控制行為。對象為板橋市國民中學學生，採叢集抽樣（隨機抽取3個學校，每年級抽2班），有效問卷計713份。變項包括人口統計變項、體重控制行為、自我體型認知、社會文化外表傾向態度。以描述統計、卡方、t考驗及迴歸進行統計分析。結果顯示男生實際體型與自覺體型一致性程度高於女生。14-16歲青少年減重的可能性顯著高於12-13歲青少年(Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR)=1.59, 95%CI=1.11-2.28)。實際體型過重或肥胖者的減重行為是過瘦者的2倍以上(AOR=2.79, 95%CI=1.39-5.62)。實際體型正常者的減重行為是過瘦者的1.85倍(AOR=1.85, 95%CI=1.11-3.10)。综言之，在青少年族群中，年齡與實際體型為是否採取體重控制行為的重要預測因子，有關當局應特別針對那些過重、肥胖或年齡較長的青少年高危險群提供健康的體重控制知識。
