This study starts from a project management standpoint to solve the procurement problem, which is faced by a certain ”Health Food Regional Company.” According to approaches of PMBOK (the project management body of knowledge), integrated and coordinated by nine knowledge areas, the problem can be solved appropriately. A suitable procurement strategy, such as joint procurement, unified procurement, batch procurement, purchase in advance, and indirect procurement, can be established. These are for the optimization of the procurement strategy of this specific case study. This study uses LINGO software for verification; the number of purchasing by project control was found to share similar results to the model results. This proved that under project management, the best total cost and reduction of the number of purchasing could be attained in the multi-sourcing strategy.
