Today the most important international issues are global energy security and global warming that are also economic issues all governments have given priority to resolve. Taiwan and China both are members of the world, so must share these two responsibilities which are carbon reduction and energy conservation. Now, China is already the largest country of carbon dioxide emissions in the world. In order to maintain international reputation, Chinese government must engage in reducing carbon and waste energy that is inevitable. China actively has been took a series of policies, including: reducing carbon emissions, developing new energy, diversifying energy supply pipes and so on. The most success one of them is promote electric cars. Taiwan has lagged behind China in the achievement. It is worth learning for Taiwan. The thesis includes three parts. First, analysis on the problems of the current international energy demand and carbon dioxide emissions. Second, studying the necessity of China's saving energy and reducing carbon. Last, analysis on the reality of promoting electric cars in China, including the policies and the reality. Hope the research to provide more experiences for Taiwan. Taiwan must catch up, not fall behind China.
