This article explores the appearance of the character, Yu Lizi, in the book "Yu LiZi" by looking at the appearance of Yu LiZi to describe the connection of the narrative viewpoints and figurative content used by Liu Ji when he illustrated Yu Lizi. This article firstly divides the eighty-nine passages with the appearance of Yu Lizi into three groups based on their narrative viewpoints. The three groups of the passages include "bystanders", "Story Participants" and "Authors". The researcher also explains the criteria for categorizing the passages with examples. Second, the passages are categorized according to their article meanings, and they are collected orderly to induce the same main point. Third, the connection of the content and the figurative meanings in the passages are discussed when Yu Lizi appeared with different viewpoints. This discussion is shown by compiling statistics and analyzing the different viewpoints of the passages. Finally, the article explores how Liu Ji constructs the figure of Yu Lizi through the cross-comparison analysis to interpret the status and role of Yu Lizi in the book "Yu Lizi."
