資訊軟硬體設備的電子化管理多採關聯式資料庫軟體架構,但關聯式資料庫之優勢只侷限於結構化資料,對於半結構性質之各類軟硬體資料,大多採文件的格式來儲存,無法提供有效之文件內容修改與查詢。而原生型XML資料庫可將非結構資料以整份XML格式直接儲存,提供XML文件的有效查詢。本研究將其用在機房內各類資訊軟硬體設備之管理系統建置,透過Oracle 9i的原生型XML資料庫的伺服程式,可同時查詢或修改多筆XML文件,並藉由整合XML Schema驗證方式以有效規範XML文件,大幅度提昇實務上程式開發及執行的效率。本研究主要貢獻在提供一個半結構化資料的儲存與管理機制,供相關類型資料管理之資訊系統建置參考。
Most current information systems for managing software and hardware equipments adopt traditional relational database software as framework. However, advantages of using the relational database are limited to structured data. For the data of semi-structured property, such as the documents of software and hardware equipment, traditional relational databases have performance concern on data query. Native XML database stores the semi-structured material by the entire XML form directly, and which provide the effective query for the XML document. This study proposes a method to construct an information system for efficiently managing semi-structured documents, and uses the management of software and hardware equipments as an example. This work demonstrates the steps of using XML database server provided by Oracle 9i to store and access the documents. The system provides query and update multiple XML documents with efficient performance. The resulting system standardizes the XML document to promote the efficiency on system development by integrating the XML schema confirmation, and which is outperform to using traditional relational database. The contribution of this study is to provide the information system construction for semi-structured data as a reference for the data of similar structure in other fields.
