In history, film industry has seemed being overcome the economic recessions all the time, which is so called “lipstick effects”. The reason behind it can have many folds, profits can be made since it can satisfy viewers’ psychological needs while they want to escape from the reality for a moment. To take advantages for the new media era’s film industry, it should focus on contents, markets and policy development. As important as it appears that globalization in new media era can provide new opportunities for China’s films on the world stage.
