Based on the literature discussions, this paper was developed to investigate the annual arrangements of the fitness of the domestic college volleyball players prepared for volleyball tournaments. We firstly adopted the specific characteristics of volleyball proposed by other researchers to summarize some special types of the demands and the physical training for volleyball, and further set up the annual training programs to handle the demands indeed by volleyball games. In order to make the training programs to be efficient, the annual training programs should be characterized by means of some specialized characteristics. Also, the periods of all kinds of volleyball games should be considered the different time periods of the annual training programs. In Taiwan, the volleyball competitions were organized from the September to the March of the following year, such as the Yongxin Championship (September), Hua Zong Championship (November), preliminaries for the college volleyball tournament (December), quarterfinals and finals for the college volleyball tournament (March of the following year), the college volleyball tournament especially. In addition to obtaining success from games, we also should avoid causing injuries by multiple games. Hence, the best performance could be maintained by both considering the fitness characteristics and the periods of all games in the long-term games.
