"Accelerated Schools for Quality Education" is a project funded by the Quality Education Fund. This paper is to study the conditions of "Accelerated Schools for Quality Education" in promoting home-school collaboration based on the experience of a participating school. The paper firstly presents an overview of relevant literature on the topic of home-school collaboration for a better understanding of its trend both in local and international contexts. The paper continues with the study brief of the status quo in the U.S. and Hong Kong, with a local case study to exemplify how the project acts as a catalyst in home-school collaboration. Finally, the paper sums up several relevant suggestions from the discussion of the participating school experience on how to strengthen home-school partnership. With closed ties between both parties, effectiveness of teaching and learning as well as support to different domains in school could be enhanced, which would ultimately benefit student learning.
