本研究主要研究目的為「生態觀光認知」以及「環境態度」與居民是否「參與」生態觀光之間三者之關係，並檢視澎湖當地居民對於「生態觀光認知」可否經由對於「環境態度」進而影響「參與」生態觀光。希望藉由此研究的結果來提供政府擬定澎湖生態觀光發展管理策略的一個參考。本研究以澎湖當地居民為抽樣對象，以分層比例抽樣法對澎湖縣五鄉一市進行抽樣，共得400份有效問卷。本研究架構獲得實證上的支持，得到下列4項實證結果：1.澎湖當地居民之「生態觀光認知」會正向影響其「環境態度」。2.澎湖當地居民之「生態觀光認知」會正向影響其「參與」程度。3.澎湖當地居民之「環境態度」會正向影響其「參與」程度。4. 澎湖當地居民之「環境態度」對於「生態觀光認知」與「參與」具有中介效果。

The main purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among ecotourism cognition, environmental attitudes, and participation. It also aimed to examine if Penghu residents' ecotourism cognition influenced their environmental attitudes, which might further determine their participation in ecotourism. 400 valid questionnaires were received from residents of the five townships and a city of Penghu County were selected using proportional stratified sampling method. The study results include: 1. Penghu residents' ecotourism cognition positively affected their environmental attitudes, 2. Penghu residents' ecotourism cognition positively influenced participation, 3. Penghu residents' environmental attitudes had positive impact on participation, and 4. Penghu residents' environmental attitudes was a mediator between ecotourism cognition and participation. The study results may serve as a reference for the Government to develop ecotourism management strategies in Penghu.
