Macau was a window for Mr. Sun Yat-Sen in reaching out to the world, and was also a base for his early social and revolutionary activities. The experience gained when living in Macau and his witnessing to the question on the sovereignty of Macau provided stimulus for him to develop a reformist thought, as well as the foundation for him to commit to the course of modern bourgeoisie revolution and to develop his judicial and political ideological system with the Three Principles of the People as the core. An investigation on his impressions of Macau is in fact an exercise to trace the course of development of Sun Yat-Sen’s judicial and political thoughts, which will help us to understand more profoundly the context of such formation.
