Longhai was famous for foreign trade in the southeast of China after the mid-Ming Dynasty, and was a key maritime port for the silk road. There are abundant underwater cultural relics. Along with the developmengt of underwater archaeology, lots of porcelain and metal devices were being discovered. It has been providing dependable data for history, economic, culturally and folk custom of coastal areas. Additionally it is very important for application of the world cultural heritage of Maritime Silk Road.
