Macau and Guangdong are now facing an aging society. The development of elderly education is one of the strategies in response to this problem. With the establishment of a learning society as its educational idea and seniority as its grounds, the two places share the same backgrounds. Both of them nevertheless made the mistake of regarding elderly education as leisure. However, the differences between the two also exist in terms of students, regional development, and teaching difficulties. On the side of Macau, elderly education is conducted in colleges and universities and the fundraising system is dominated by the government, which provides a lesson for Macau. On the other hand, the rich theories and experience in Guangdong area and the management of the elderly education in accordance with the law, also provide a reference for Macau.
