The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of skills and tactics performance in Asian Soft Tennis Championships between male and female athletes. In this study, a total of six matches of the semi-finals double matching of 7th Asian Soft Tennis Championships were evaluated by observational method to record serve, serve mode, serve placement, serve and volley, receive placement, receive and volley, hits of scoring, skills of scoring and formation of scoring. The statistical results indicated that significant differences were existed in receive placements, receive and volley, formation of scoring between male and female. This study concludes that the tactics had much to do with skills. Serve placements were close to the backhand and jamming of the opponent and who mainly strike back crossed to the backcourt consequently. In male matches, the volley was the predominant scoring skills and the double net play formation was usually used after receive. In female matches, the volley was the major scoring skill by using up-back formation. According the results, we strongly recommend that the tactics should be trained depend on different sex to obtain effectively performance in the future.
