更年期症候群包括了疲倦、熱潮紅、盜汗等多種症狀，嚴重影響了此年齡階段婦女的生活品質，在荷爾蒙療法引發醫療爭議之後，更年期症候群治療之相關研究重心也轉向中草藥，雖然中國傳統醫學淵源流長，但在實證醫學的研究之下，中藥的療效再現性已經成為現代中醫藥研究的重點之一，因此，本文從已發表在國際期刊上的更年期相關中醫藥臨床研究，以實症醫學的角度出發，以期發掘療效再現性高的中藥，並從中學習實證醫學其嚴謹的實驗設計與精神。
The symptoms associated with menopause are insomnia, hot flashes and fatigue. This unwelcome effects affect quality of life of women. Recently the focus of treatment for menopause has been shifted to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) after the controversial incidents of the hormone replacement therapy. This article provides an overview of the clinical trials of TCM by reviewing many published studies on menopausal symptoms, hoping to find effective treatments through Chinese medicine.
