PURPOSE: The main purpose of this research is to study the developing trend of Women's Vaulting Horse in International Artistic Gymnastics Competition of 2017-2020 Olympic Game. The first samples of this study were 105 gymnasts from 56 countries who participated in the Vaulting Horse in World Artistic Gymnastics Competition of 2013. The second samples of this study were 213 gymnasts from 58 countries who participated in the Vaulting Horse in World Artistic Gymnastics Competition of 2014. Of the 318 total sample gymnast, the average age of the first group was 19.2 and the second group was 19.3. METHODS: The method of data collection were film observation, document collection and the data analysis of final score reported by Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG) published on report 229-231. The analysis tool was SPSS 17.0 for Windows to examine the all around score; apparatus score and D, E score values. This study compares effect of the different starting score and reduction on the final score. RESULTS: The major findings were as follows: There were positive correlations among D-score, E-score, outside deductions and final score. The degree of difficulties has a major impact on the final score. The starting score of D and deduction score of E will affect the final score. The D-score in mean of 2013, 2014 was 5.0, Final Score was 13.766, and E-score average was 8.680 in 2013 and 8.80 in 2014 respectively. The most popular two vaults groups selected by the gymnasts were group 3 and group 4. CONCLUSION: The competitiveness of the gymnasts was decided by degree of difficulties and the execution stability. Developing the vault group 5 is becoming the necessary trend. A good combination of two vaults in order to increase the D-score and E-score are the key to reach the highest final score.
