MOOCs not only deeply affects the regular education system, but also set up the new milestone for the lifelong. While MOOCs impact and influence all education sectors worldwidly, Taiwan also launched a four-years sizable MOOCs project aimming to encourage higher education sectors to join the MOOCs enterprise. Up to 2017, a good number of MOOCs has been open to the publics. Similar to what has been raised in other countries, the sustainability of MOOCs becomes a new focus which is the origin of this paper. This article is written based on the data collected on Taiwan LIFE. Discussions are made on what is meaningful for a successful MOOC. The researcher found that the successfulness of a MOOC may connected to the following points:“Videos is attractive to learners”,“Assignment can initiate interaction among learners”, “The number of computer graded quiz needs to be properly designed” , “Credits hours granded is helpful to accomplishment”. These conclusion is helpful for further discussion on how to aggrigate MOOCs and Non-formal education programs Accreditation which would be the next important policy that could put up some guantee the sustainability of MOOCs.
