Surgical procedures using X-ray auxiliary, such as mobile C-arm X-ray, have been more common. Therefore, radiation protection in the operation room cannot be ignored. A recent survey found that the correctness rate of nursing staff's X-ray radiation protection awareness (CRPA) was only 55.2%; the correctness rate of protective implementation (CRPI) was only 58.1%. This is due to no training courses on radiation protection, lack of X-rayradiation protective operating standards, and lack of radiation protection equipment and inadequate maintenance. After developing standard operating instructions, organizing education and training, purchasing protective equipment, and setting up a scheme of inspecting mechanisms, CRPA and CRPI both increased to 100%. This project not only enhances nursing staff's knowledge, attitudes, and management about X-ray radiation protection, but also provides quality and safe working environments and improves the quality of care.
