低溫治療是目前對於周產期窒息造成的缺氧缺血性腦病變最具療效，可以降低新生兒死亡率、改善中至重度的神經失能、嚴重的腦性麻痺等合併症，若能越早開始，對神經保護效果越好。在低溫過程中護理師扮演重要角色，除須了解低溫治療的風險外，更要監測各項抽血指標，有助於預防低溫過程帶來之相關合併症，並協助父母渡過擔心、不安情緒，故護理人員須具備執行低溫療法的照護能力。本文整合低溫治療照護之知能及技能，並藉由臨床案例分享，期能提升護理人員的專業護理品質。

Hypothermia therapy is currently the most effective treatment for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy caused by asphyxia in the perinatal period. It has been revealed to reduce neonatal mortality; alleviate moderate to severe neurological disability, severe cerebral palsy, and intellectual disabilities; and improve cognitive function. The earlier the therapy is commenced, the stronger the effect of neuroprotection. Nursing departments play a crucial role in hypothermia treatment. In addition to understanding the risks of hypothermia treatment, these departments also must understand the importance of monitoring and supporting the family, and help to reduce the complications associated with hypothermia treatment. Therefore, nursing departments must have the ability to perform hypothermia treatment. By sharing our clinical experience with hypothermia therapy, we hope to improve the quality of nursing care.
