Along with the increasing trends of sports, the population of sporting participation grows, giving impetus to the health industry. The important trend of future sporting market is the combination of activewear and wearable devices although the development of functions and the application by users of wearable products are currently under exploration and they are not yet considered the daily essentials by major consumers. Domestic and foreign producers, however, have invested in the field one after another, hoping take the first step and its place for the next wave. The functions of the products mainly are communication of information, control of accessories, and monitoring of biological signals with the connection of smart phones. Presently the smart clothing that can measure one's heart rate are developed mainly with wireless heart rate sensors and electroconductive fibers (electroconductive rubber) to monitor wearer's physiological parameters, then connecting to the cell phone's app to calculate and analyze the aggregated information and records. The styles of the outfit are primarily sports bras or slim-fit suits, presenting body curves and emphasizing functionality, with sensors seen from the appearance. The concept originates from the observations about wearing habits of Asian women who take sports-bras along with shirts or jackets to reshape their body figures and avoid too much tight outfit as well. The designs are 2-in-1 smart clothings for Asian women which combine sports-bras and activewear by integrating heart rate sensors with electro-conductive fibers. The tones with natural elements, geometry, and totems of light network are fulfilled with digital printing process. As for wearing comfort, exchangeable bra pads and pattern of promoting activity level are adopted as a plus. The overall work aims at creating smart activewears which fuse functional textiles & fashionable elements, and encourages women participate in outdoor activities with confidence, and with fashions.
