The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between motivation of exercise participation and exercise self-efficacy for elementary school teachers of Dounan Area. A self-compiled questionnaire has been developed for investigation of "Motivation of Exercise Participation And Exercise Self-efficacy." Take 120 teachers from Dounan Area Elementary Schools as the sample for this research, analyzing the data by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, chi-square analysis, Pearson's product- moment correlation and regression analysis. The comprehensive summaries are as following: 1. There was 40% teachers who had regular exercise habit. 2. There was significant difference of percent in regular exercise habit among teacher's age . 3. The degree of "Motivation of Exercise Participation" of elementary school teachers in Dounan Area was average. 4. The degree of "Exercise Self-efficacy" of elementary school teachers in Dounan Area was average. 5. The elementary school teachers' "Motivation of Exercise Participation" in Dounan Area elementary school is different due to Sports club experience. Gender, age, job title and marital status are not. 6. The elementary school teachers' "Exercise Self-efficacy" in Dounan Area elementary school is different due to Sports club experience. Gender, age, job title, kind of sport and marital status are not. 7. There is a significant positive correlation between "Exercise participative motivation and Exercise self-efficacy" of elementary school teachers in Dounan Area elementary school. 8. There was the significant prediction of the elementary school teachers' exercise participative motivation to exercise self-efficacy has significant predictive power.
