台灣女性影展是一個非營利組織經營的影展，今年剛過完 29 周年慶祝，除了金馬
影展之外，「台灣國際女性影展」是台灣歷史最悠久的議題性影展。1987 年解嚴後， 政
治、環保、勞工、農民、婦女等社會運動風起雲湧，尤其台灣婦女運動在 90 年代 推
向高峰。1993 台灣女性影展(女性影像藝術展)開創後，文建會的紀錄片雙年展起動；
台南藝術大學的音像紀錄所成立，以及公共電視的紀錄觀點頻道開放，讓更多年輕一
代的女性影像工作者有機會投入紀錄片的拍攝，後來也有不少人跨入劇情片的拍攝，成績凜然，而隨著婦運的發展，造就了九十年代的女性影展的萌芽和成長。

Apart from the Golden Horse Film Festival, which celebrated its 29th anniversary this year, the Taiwan International Women's Film Festival is the oldest nonprofit organization
film festival in Taiwan. After the 1987 crackdown, political, environmental, labour, peasant
and women Primary Colors, especially the Taiwanese women's movement, reached its peak
in the 1990s. The 1993 Taiwan Women's Film Festival -Women's visual arts exhibition was
launched, the establishment of Tainani National University of Arts audio-visual
documentary institute, and the opening of the documentary viewpoint channel on public
television, let more young generation of female film workers have the opportunity to
participate in the filming of documentaries. Later on, many people also stepped into the
filming of drama films and achieved impressive results. With the development of the
women's movement, created the budding and growth of the 1990s women's film festival.
