A sound classification scheme as well as its appendant subdivisions are indispensible and important for the process of cataloging and classification in a library. The author makes some comments on the "Chinese Chronological Subdivision Table" of the New Classification Scheme for Chinese Libraries, which is currently and widely adopted by libraries in Taiwan. Some errors that do not accord with historical common sense are point out. The suggestion for revision is also raised.
