     本文報告一些與香港中學生心理健康有關的研究結果。此項研究以普通健康問卷和其他量表為工具,並透過分層隨機抽樣方式,以2155名中學生為對象,研究香港中學生的心理健康狀況。普通健康問卷結果顯示有很大部份的學生可被劃分為心理上有「危機」。如用普通健康問卷和黎克利計分方法,有「危機」的學生比率分別為23.7和63.7。結果另外顯示中學生心理健康狀況除與一些個人(包括性別和年齡),學校(班級,上課時間和學校類別)和環境(居住面積和密度)因素有關之外,數據亦顯示普通健康問卷的分數與學生對父母對待方法的觀感有顯著相關。本文會在香港的社會、文化和都市範疇內討論這些結果。
     An epidemiological study was conducted to assess the mental health status of secondary school students in Hong Kong, with a total of 2155 students recruited through the multi-stage random sampling method. The General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-30), Somatic (Chronic and Acute) Scales, State-Trait Anxiety Questionnaire, Leeds (Anxiety and Depression) Scales, Beck's Depression Inventory, Ego Strength Scale and Purpose in Life Questionnaire were used. With special focus on the General Health Questionnaire, it was found that a significant proportion of the students could be considered as psychologically 'at risk' (23.7 and 63.7 using Likert and 0-0-1-1 scoring methods respectively). While it was foundthat student mental health was related to a number of personal (speci-fically sex and age), school-related (form, mode of attendance and schooltype) and environmental (area and density) variables, the data alsorevealed a significant relationship between GHQ scores and subjects'perception of parental (both fraternal and maternal) treatment methods. The findings are discussed in the social, cultural and urban contexts of Hong Kong.
