本文所提出的案例，是一個典型的家庭問題。一位離婚的母親，和她十六歲的女兒因溝通障礙而形成母女關係尖銳化。女兒動輒以逃家、棄學為工具，向母親作物質上的無度需索。而在她強烈的物質慾望背後，其實隱藏著一顆孤寂的心靈，及對「愛」和「權力」的吶喊。本研究以「家族治療」的理論進行評估，並以個別輔導及家族會談的方式進行輔導，讓家庭成員接觸到彼此真正的訊息，也接觸到內在的自我。「愛」的資源重新滋潤了這個家庭，家庭終又恢復了生機。

The case study presented here is a typically family problem. The confliet re-lation between a divorced mother and her sixteen-year-old daughter was caused by communication gap. The daughter. threatening to leave home or quit school, gotused to extort money or other material requirement from her mother. However. □e-hind her unsatisfied desire. she had a lonely heart and called for love and power. The therapist assessed the case from the points of view of family therapy and worked on it. Through individual and family counseling. the family members contacted their real message from each other and gained an insight into themselves. The resources of love seemed to renew the family.
