The pilot test of approval plan supplied by Ballon Booksellers international,
Inc. in a health sciences library which transferee the conventional acquisitions (books
recommended by faculties and health professionals only) into thesame responsibilities
of book selection taken by the librarians and the users.
Vendors ship books automatically accord with the profile defined bylibrarians and
users. Some problems are discussed. Many benefits shouldnot only enable new
materials available sooner, collection development controlled by the library
systematically, but also advanced the fair relations between the librarians and the
users.
