　　　　　在資訊系統引進企業時，必須同時兼顧以下幾點，引進的過程才得以順利完成，1）解決因組織改變（肇因於資訊科技的引進）而產生的抗拒，2）協調全公司系統的發展，3）宣示或帶領資訊化的風氣，4）給予長期的財務承諾，5）確保資訊系統的目標契合公司發展的目標，6）決定各系統的發展優先權，給予適當的參與和支援是有其必要性的。本研究主要在探討高階主管參與程度和資訊系統績效（包括efficiency and effectiveness）間的關連性。首先，經由文獻探討及專家訪談建立研究模式（research model）及待驗證的假說，其中包括高階主管的參與程度對資訊系統績效的影響，和影響高階主管參與程度的背景因素（contextual factors），如高階主管的認知與態度、資訊部門的位階、資訊部門主管的要求；其次，利用中華民國資訊經理人協會所提供的會員名單，問卷調查協會近300名會員。從這些調查中，本文分析：1）我國高階主管實際參與資訊系統開發的現況，2）那些高階主管參與的項目與資訊系統的成功最有關連，3）以路徑分析方法驗證高階主管參與資訊系統成功的假說及背景因素影響高階主管參與的假說。並在分析後對於我國高階主管應如何定位自己的角色及如何最有效參與提供一些建議。
