This article discusses the negotiation characteristics cxisted in the resolution of hostage crisis between the U.S. government and Iran Islamic regime. Onc of distinc-tive tratis is to talk in private. It goes without saying, this secret bargaining was f-ailed through a series of "scenaro" efforts by Paris lawyers and the support of Eu-rope-oricnted Bani-Sadr and Ghotbsadeh, as well as with the good office of U.N. Commission of Inquiry. The second attrbute is the third country involvesment, The real negotiation began with Algeria participation. Algerian diplomats, with highly s-killed intermediation, served an indispensable function in interpreting two widely disparate cultures and reasoning processes to each other. Till at last, Iranian officials and American senior sub-Cabinet level advisors involved in those economic and fi- nancial talks and signed the final agreement that lead to release of the hostages under the full confidence of both sides.
