Based on the black spotes problem happening in some community, this study is to inspect the reason and procedure resulting in the black spots on bricks, and find out the prevention way and solution policy through the scientific instrucments and pathological analysis. Macro/micro examining system will be applied to analyze the ingredient of spots. Simultaneously, core drill sampling method is used to analyze the material quality of concrete to figure out the reasons causing degradation. Results indicate that the high pore ratio of bricks will generate the humidity effect, and it is one of the factors to cause spots. In addition, sand used for construction containing higher alkaline substances, such as calcium and potassium, will generate the gel of alkaline-silicate reaction. This gel is inferred to be the main reason to cause the formation of spots. The suggested preventions include: (1) carefully choosing construction materials; (2) Adopting correct construction methods; (3) preparing standard construction menu, etc.
