From different roles as researcher/ author, educator, and professional leader, this article
presents the outstanding achievements of Professor Lucy Te-Chu Lee of National Taiwan University
department of Library Science. Professor Lee received her Ph.D. degiee from University of
Pittsburgh school of Library and Information Seience. Her specialized research rields are
information sciences, Library automation, science and technology literature, and library information
standards. Professor Lee is Currently Member of Librany Development Committtee of the Ministry
of Education, the President of Chinese Association of Library and Information Science Education
(CALISE) and also serves in the Standing Committee of Library Association of China. Professor
Lee is a prolific author of over forty scholarly articles and books. She has received the Execellent
Research Awards from the National Science Council, Outstanding Teacher Award from the Ministry
of Education, and other honors.
