     本研究的主要目的即在藉由實證探索性因素分析及確定性因素分析法,以瞭解構成重度障礙者生活素質領域的潛在因素,確定重度障礙者生活素質的實證領域及其彼此之間相互的關係,以利未來從事重度障礙者相關的教學研究,擬定合宜的生涯規劃與轉銜方案,以及制定改善障礙者生活素質從事重度障礙?相關的教學研究,擬定合宜的生涯規劃與轉銜方案,以及制定改善障礙者生活素質政策時之依據和參考。此外,並期望能藉此研究的經驗與結果,能更進一步地擴展相關的研究者對於線性結構關係(LISREL)研究的興趣,並針對其他不同類別障礙者的生活素質的進行相似性的研究。茲貨納本研究重要的結果如下: 1.藉由試探性及確定性的因素分析,可確認四項重度障礙者在轉銜時期生活素質因素。此四項因素普別為(1)「獨立自主或成人角色行為」,(2)「生產力或經濟穩定性」,(3)「人際關係或社區與家庭的整合」,(4)「滿意度或心理福祉」。 2.重度障礙者「自我提擇與控制」是「獨立自主或成人角色行為」生活素質因素中最佳的預測指標;重度障礙者「社區認同和接受」是「人際關係或社區與家庭的整合」生活素質因素中最佳的預測指標;重度障礙者「經濟生活整合」是「生產力或經濟穩定性」生活素質因素中最佳的預測指測指標;重度障礙者「休閒與娛樂整合」是「滿意度或心理福祉」生活素質因素最佳的預測指標。 3.四項重度障礙者生活素質的共同因素間有六譴正值的因素關係係數。此種關係顯示重度障礙者在某一種不同生活素質層面(如,獨立自主能力)上有正面的改善或提昇時,會正面的影響其它生活素質的層面(如,社會及家庭的人際關係)。 4.「獨立自主或成賽角色行為」和「人際關係或社區與家庭的整合」生活素質兩項因素與「滿意度或心理福祉」生活素質因素均有高度的直線相關。 5.不同於往昔障礙者生活素質的研究,本研究亦同時發現:主觀的生活素質因素和客觀的生活素質因素有顯著地直線相關。 根據上述研究發現,並提出如下有關的建議:(1)教育與訓練內容的全方位化,(2)教?與訓練服務單位的協調統整化,(3)自我決定與控制的落實與輔導化,(4)社區認同和接受的改為和提昇化,(5)休閒娛樂教育的普及與推廣化,(6)轉銜教育訓練的促進和務實化,(7)終生活教育與生涯訓練理念的大眾化。
     This research examined the reliable dimensions of quality of life for youth with severe disabilities in transition from youth a adulthood. Survey data from the National Transition Study of Individuals with Severe disabilities (NTSSD) concerning the life experiences and status of 398 young adults with disabilities were analyzed. The exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used to validate a model of quality of life for youth with severe disabilities. The findings and results of this study differ from those of other quality-of-life related post-school outcome studies conducted over the past two decades, particularly by establishing an empirically supported pattern of quality of life constructs. Recommendations are offered concerning the implications of these findings for school practice and transition services.
