　　　　　貴霜(Kushan)王朝的迦膩色迦(Kanishka)一世，發行過不少的金幣、銅幣。在這些硬幣的正面刻有國王的全身立像，而背面則刻有希臘系、伊朗系、印度系的神像、以及佛陀釋迦牟尼、彌勒的全身像。正面的國王立像，幾乎是整齊劃一的圖樣，即迦膩色迦王在即位後的很早很早時期，或是大夏(Bactria)之時，便以希臘語，希臘文字刻記銘文(BACIAEOC BACIAEON KANHKOY)，而背面上的神像、尊像之名，也是以希臘語，希臘文字刻記 (例如，HAIOC，圖七)。像這樣，迦膩色迦王的在位初期，或者是，傳統希臘文化強盛的大夏之時，正如同前代的 Vima Kadphises 王地，就某種意義而言，正顯示了對希臘文化的尊重愛好(philhellne)態度。但是，就在不久之後，卻廢止希臘語，又使用了貴霜語。例如，正面的國正銘記，即為 PAONANO PAO KANHPKIKOPANO，而且連背面的神像銘文，也不是希臘語，而是用貴霜語，或低朗語來表記了。(例如，替代Helios神的Milo，便記為Mirro) 像這樣，在某種意義言，卻又是更增顯反古典主義的色彩。
