To properly select a highly potential junior athlete and to continuously train him in a systematic way are the essential steps to create an elite athlete. Thus, the sports talent exploration will obtain its attention in the sports domain. Since all sports require high domestic and international competition, the importance of sports talent exploration should not be overlooked. This paper attempts to explain the bone age theory in sports talent exploration. Although the bone age theory is a new research field, it shows that the bone age can predict potential growth of human body. Such approach might be considered to be an indispensable way to reach a higher achievement in an international level of an elite athlete training system.
