Both Long Jump and Triple Jump are people's focuses in jumping sports. Triple Jump involved three landing and take off, but Long Jump only contain one landing and taking off. Basically, these two sports are very similar in motion expression, especially the last step jump in Triple Jump is just like a Long Jump. In the early stage, athletes of these two events were always concurrent in participation. However, along with the development of individual event technique, each of these sports tends to specialize in technical level. Therefore, the purpose of this monograph is to discuss the discrepancies between Long Jump and Triple Jump based on the viewpoint of biomechanics. Coaches and athletes can make reference to it.
