　　　　　The purposes of comparative criminology are: to broaden our understanding on crime and delinquency and to benefit from other country's experiences. In this paper, I describe crime and justice in Taiwan, examine correlates of crime in Taiwan, present data on a test of life style theory, describe the unique nature of longitudinal research. Singnificance of this paper to world criminology is presented.
