The digital revolution, which changed the way information is stored and used, has acceleraled with the growing popularity of the Internet. The establishment of the digital library and National Information Infrastructure in the U.S. in 1992 and 1993, has further speeded up the spread of digitalization and networking around the world. How to integrate the different kinds of resources and interfaces is an important task of the digital revolution. This paper presents the design and implementation of the Health-Research Information NeTwork-HINT. HINT includes 23 kinds of health science research databases. It is a 24-hour service for researchers and clinicians in Taiwan and has a user friendly interface, and its popularity has been proven over nearly a year of service. In the future, we hope that the system can be delveloped to include more resources and that it can be used by clinicians and researchers world wide. We would like to equally service the researcher and clinician no matter where they located and no matter when they request the service.
