This research was aimed to find out the current use of assessment devices by special education teachers and professionals and the perceived problems related to assessment. Special education resources centers, special education evaluation teams in every county, test publishers, test development centers and special education teachers were surveyed, and 27 teachers and professionals were invited to a forum to discuss the issues. Data collected was analyzed quantitatively. Suggestions about assessment in special education, development of tests, training of professionals, test circulation and usage control were given.
