This exploratory research is designed to understand the prenatal educational model in northern Taiwan. The medical institute and subjects were recruited by level-randomization sampling. The purpose of study is to explore the prenatal education received by the pregnant women and to compare the difference of actual education received and the necessary items required of the pregnant women. In the conclusion of the study, it showed that 43.4% pregnant women received the prenatal educational program, but they failed to receive half of the 70 items. And there was significant difference between the education actually received and the necessary items of prenatal required of the pregnant women (p<0.001). Based on data analysis, researchers can establish a Taiwanese prenatal educational model providing guidelines to clinical practice and health policy design, and promoting quality of women health maintenance in pregnancy. @@@
